Caresite® Triple Extension Set is a sterile infusion line extension set designed to extend IV administration lines via a secure male Luer-Lock distal connector. Featuring three Caresite® needle-free valves, it supports infusion therapy, transfusion, blood sample aspiration and intermittent injection while allowing clinicians to manipulate access points away from the vascular access site.
The flexible 20cm extension tubing helps simplify aseptic technique during IV administration set changes and may assist in reducing unnecessary handling at the injection site. With a small internal tube diameter and low priming volume of 1.3mL, the set is suitable for applications where minimising contained volume is important, including paediatric and neonatal care, subject to clinical protocol.
