The BD Saf-T-Intima™ patented shielding design has a telescoping needle shield that automatically covers the stylet when it is removed from the catheter. This feature safeguards healthcare professionals and others from sharp injuries. A PRN adapter that can be easily detached allows for convenient connection to either a needle-less injection system or an infusion line.
