Opal® is an Ortho-Phthalaldehyde (OPA)-based high level disinfectant suitable for manually disinfecting compatible medical and dental devices and automated reprocessing of Endoscopes and accessories. This disinfectant’s reuse period lasts up to 28 days; almost twice the length of its competitors. With the same contact time and temperature for manual disinfection and Automated Reprocessing, Opal® provides fast turnaround time for endoscopes.

Opal® Disinfectant only has a 6-minute contact time for quick but effective use, and can be used at room temperature (20°C). It is ready to use, with sanitising properties that are effective against many micro-organisms, and up to a 28 day use-life. Opal® contains Ortho-Phthalaldehyde 5.7g/L and has a shelf life of 24 months.
