Coated VICRYL* Plus Antibacterial Suture is an absorbable braided suture made from polyglactin 910, coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan (IRGACARE MP*). The triclosan coating is intended to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture itself. This presentation is a size 3-0 undyed suture on a PS-1 24mm 3/8 circle reverse cutting PRIME* needle, with a 45cm thread length. Ethicon states that Coated VICRYL* Plus has the same construction, performance and handling as Coated VICRYL* Suture.
