VICRYL RAPIDE® is an absorbable, undyed braided suture comprised of a synthetic material called polyglactin 910 and calcium stearate. This smooth suture passes through tissue readily with minimal drag, facilitating ease of handling, smooth tie down, and unsurpassed knot security. Being absorbable, it should not be used where extended approximation of tissue is required.
VICRYL RAPIDE® Sutures are indicated for use in soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where short term wound support is required, making them suitable for use in hospitals, medical facilities, clinics and surgical centres.
