The Medicina range of oral/enteral syringes has been developed to deliver enteral feeds, medicines and flushes safely to neonatal, paediatric and adult patients. The syringes are colour coded purple in line with the European standard EN1615 for enteral devices. In addition they have a female Luer lock to prevent accidental misconnections to intravenous devices.
There is a complete system of accessories to feed neonates and to provide access to other enteral lines for flushing and medicines in paediatrics and adults. The use of this range of syringes, in place of standard IV syringes, significantly reduces the risk of harm caused by the accidental delivery of enteral feed into parenteral lines.
