AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ dressings are antimicrobial primary wound dressings for wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. They manage the local barriers to healing by targeting exudate, infection, and biofilm. The dressing combines Hydrofiber™ Technology with Ag+ Technology—an ionic silver-containing formulation designed to help control antibiofilm activity. AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ consists of two Hydrofiber™ layers stitch-bonded together, providing 9x stronger structure and 50% more absorbency than standard AQUACEL® Ag.
