Atrauman is an triglyceride impregnated wound contact layer. It provides a soothing protective layer to wounds such as skin tears, abrasions, grafts, and minor burns. The small mesh weave reduces the risk of tissue growing into the dressing but allows the passage of exudate to pass freely. Atrauman leaves less residue in the wound than traditional parrafin gauze dressing.
