Baxter Osmitrol 10% Mannitol Injection is a sterile, non‑pyrogenic, hypertonic solution (596 mOsmol/kg) used as an osmotic diuretic. It is indicated to promote diuresis in acute renal failure, reduce elevated intraocular and intracranial pressure, treat cerebral edema, and enhance the excretion of toxic substances. The solution contains 100g/L of mannitol with pH adjustment using hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide, supplied in a 1000mL VIAFLEX® plastic container.
